WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND PUMP STATION ENERGY EVALUATION

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Town of Woodstock will use the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funds to make improvements to the Woodstock Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) as recommended in the 2021 Energy Evaluation completed by Process Energy Services. The improvements include upgrades to the oxidation ditches to reduce electricity use and optimize wastewater treatment operations, as well as upgrades to the heating units at the Control Building to improve energy efficiency. Work will include the installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) on the aerators at the oxidation ditches and dissolved oxygen (DO) probe/control system to adjust VFD speed to maintain a DO setpoint automatically. In addition, heat pumps will be installed in the Control Building to replace electric heaters. Grant funds will be used for the purchase of the equipment and installation, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and programming work related to the upgrades.

"Funding for this project provided through the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services from the U.S. Treasury and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021."
