Tax Deeding

If the above lien remains unpaid two years and a day after it is placed, the Town of Woodstock has a right to Deed (take) the property, pursaunt to RSA 80:77 and 80:77a.  The property owner, any mortgage company and any person with legal interest in the property will be notified via certified mail, return receipt at least 30 days prior to the Deed date. There will be additional fees (costs) added to the outstanding amount for preparing and sending notices.

Any person have a legal interest in the property may make a payment towards the outstanding balance (you can’t  send your friend in to make a payment).

If the outstanding balance, interest and costs are not paid in full by the date stated on the notice, The Town of Woodstock has the legal right to Deed (take) the property.
